Doug & Suzie Thompson

Shizuko or Suzie and I were married in May, of 1965 on the Pacific Island of Okinawa. I had been in the Air Force for 6 years at the time and was 23 & Suzie, 21. For the next 14 years, we traveled to many places, including South Carolina, Mississippi and New York, just to name a few. The final four years of my Air Force career was at Elelson AFB, Alaska. Finally, in 1979, I retired.

We returned to my home in Pikeville, Ky.. Soon after, in 1980, I began working for the CSX rail road. Then, after 23.5 years with them, I am once again retired, only this is my last.

After retirement, we traveled some in our fifth wheel camper. It was something I wanted to do nearly all mylife, and after having made 2 trips out West, I am happy to stay here at home and do other things.
