Alleyton, Tx to Canyon Lake, Tx.
124 Miles.20 November, 2004: We're staying at the Canyon Falls RV Park at Canyon Lake, Tx. this is another really neat Passport America park. North of San Antonio. Out in "hill country". There is a large creek flowing through the park and the owner has done a really good job with the landscaping.
The park sports full hookups and large sites. This is the kind of park we look for. Out of the high traffic and loud noises of the cities.
I bought the cheapest diesel fuel I've found today for $1.89 today. The highest we've seen it so far was $2.25 a gallon. The average was around $2.05.
21 November, 2004: There was no rain when we got up this morning, but by the time we got to San Antonio, it was pouring. We parked the truck and walked the short distance to the Alamo. The sign at the door pretty much summed up the way Texans feel about their Alamo---- and rightly so. The sign clearly states "Remove Your Hats" .
